A Box of Delights

I had a pile of these flyers delivered yesterday for a couple of forthcoming events. A local group of artisans have got together and will be showcasing their wonderful products. I can't make the May date but I shall have a stall at the Northchurch fair on 25th June, looking forward to it! I will get busy distributing the flyers this week. Exciting!

more yummy greens....

I can now post a pic of the goodies I sent out as part of the handmade co.'s green swap (swapbot swap/flickr group) as they have arrived safe and sound with Sandra and Orit . The little parcels included a sheet of green and white polka dot felt, 2 FQ's of fabric, one gingham, one floral/birdy, green heart needles in a little handmade case, buttons, ribbons, thread, mint tic tacs and a mint hot choc sachet! Oh, I almost forgot, I made a couple of dotty green strawberries and little beach huts personalized with the initial of each recipient. I really enjoyed this swap as I adore green goodies. Next swaps in this group are a reading challenge (a bookmark or book cover etc.) and a whimsy jar stuffed full of sewing essentials and yummy things! They don't need to be mailed out till end of May so have a bit of time to rack my brain for the reading challenge item.

more swaps

I'm so pleased to be part of a great swap group called the handmade co. I've just taken part in my 2nd swap with this group and the theme this time was green, green, green - my favourite. I've sent mine out this week and hope the ladies like their packages. I have received mine already and look at these wonderful goodies...
This wonderful package arrived from Rosa. Dear Rosa had beautifully handmade a gorgeous drawstring bag from lovely fabrics. Not only that but look at all those other goodies, beautiful buttons, yummy ribbons, delicious fabrics, cute stickers and pegs and a little tin and egg and hen! I've been very spoilt! Thank you :)***

My next package arrived this week from Poshplushies. I am sooooo lucky to be the proud owner of one of Marie's tree houses and the lovely leaf pouch, more gorgeous ribbons, buttons, embellishments (incl. a little 'M'), stickers, cute cupcake and wonderful fabrics. Now I'm doubly spoilt! Thank you :)***
I won't reveal what's inside my packages yet, just in case the recipients are reading, but here are my packages sent out to dear Sandra and dear Orit. You can't quite make out the details, I'll post detailed pics once the parcels have arrived safely and the contents have been revealed! Hope they like them. These swaps are lots of fun.

New creations

I've been rubbish recently with keeping my blog up-to-date and I'm rubbish at tweeting too! I'm not sure I quite get it yet, but I'm trying to!
Anyways, still haven't finished my Spring Giveaway prize yet, it will be summer before I get round to it. No, I shall try and post it next week here on my blog and on flickr and I'll even tweet about it if I remember!

In the meantime I've been making some new hairclip holders, all different sizes and slightly different colours. Take a look. This is my smallest version with only one ribbon (shown here with a little strawberry clip).
Then there's my next size up!

...and finally the big (ish) one. Shown here with a sweet bow clip I made. This one isn't padded but has a pocket instead, somewhere to put those bands and bobbles.
I aim to make a couple for my own two girlies in a bid to keep all those hair accessories under control!

Cupcakes Galore!

Having been slightly cupcake obsessed of late I decided to make a mosaic of all my recent cupcake creations. My latest additions are the 'G' 'A' and 'B' initial cuppies, made for a lovely Folksy customer, Wallop , as alternative choccie egg pressies this Easter. Great idea! These cute cuppies will last way longer than any chocolate. Incidentally, Wallop creates fab 'Rubbish Pictures', they aren't really rubbish, but are collages made with recycled products, clever!

Hearts and Stars

I've been making a few of my new name banners in lots of new colourways. This order for Hannah was made in lovely green, pink and purple shades and I love this combination, a real feast for the eyes and perfect for a little girl who doesn't want to be too girly!
I've also made a couple of new boys versions too. The David banner is made using lovely muted tones, suitable for a newborn baby's nursery and beyond. This colour combination is proving to be popular and I have a couple of other orders to make in this colourway, pics to be posted as soon as I've completed them.
Here is a red, white and blue version for Toby. I've used a different, lighter blue when making this one, so it is slightly different to my 'Sam' version.
More to come!
